Vincent Kaufmann has been the CEO of Ethos Foundation and of Ethos Services since June 2015. He has been member Ethos Services’ management in charge of investment since 2011 and deputy CEO since 2013. Vincent Kaufmann joined Ethos in 2004 as a corporate governance analyst, later becoming a senior and deputy head of corporate governance. He also participates in Ethos’ dialogue with major companies in the field of corporate governance. Since 2014, he has been a member of the supervisory board of the consultant Proxinvest (Paris) as a representative of the shareholder Ethos Services.
Vincent Kaufmann, a Swiss certified Expert for Accounting and Controlling since 2009, holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics from the University of Geneva (2004).
Yola Biedermann joined Ethos in 1999 and has been a member of Ethos Services' management since 2011. She is Head of the corporate governance and sustainability team. In that role, she is responsible for Ethos’ socially responsible investment activities. She supervises Ethos’ proxy voting service and the team's engagement activities, as well as the various reports on corporate governance and sustainability topics produced by Ethos. She is also in charge of the regular update of Ethos’ proxy voting guidelines.
Yola Biedermann earned a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Geneva. Prior to joining Ethos, she worked for several years as an economist with the Geneva Cantonal Hospital Planning Service. She later taught Economics at the Geneva School of Business Administration (Haute Ecole de Gestion).
Anthony Gloor joined Ethos on 1 May 2015 as Head of Corporate Services and member of management. He is in charge of general administration, budgets and accounting, publications and communication instruments, IT infrastructure development and maintenance as well as internal control and compliance. Simultaneously to his position at Ethos, he has a mandate as lecturer at the Geneva School of Business Administration (Haute Ecole de Gestion) for the course “Governance, Risk and Compliance”.
Anthony Gloor holds a Master’s degree in Information and Communication systems from the University of Geneva, with a minor in Business administration. He also is a Certified Information System Auditor from the ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) and holds the certification in risk management assurance from the IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors). Prior to joining Ethos, he had been working for ten years at the audit and consulting company Deloitte in Geneva. In this capacity, he conducted numerous audit and risk management consulting missions. He became deputy director in 2012 and was also responsible for staff training in Deloitte’s “advisory” departments throughout Switzerland.
Michael Spalding has been member of Ethos Services’ management since 2011 and is responsible for Ethos’ client and member relations. Michael Spalding joined Ethos in 2010 as senior relationship manager in Ethos’ Zurich office.
Michael Spalding holds a degree for Business Economics of the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (HWV) and holds the title Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA) of the Association of Certified International Investment Analysts.
From 1987 to 1996, Michael Spalding held different positions at Credit Suisse. From 1996 to 2001, Michael Spalding worked at Swiss Re in the client management for Latin American insurance companies and was also responsible as the deputy head of the Latin American Academy for the development of this training centre. From 2001, Michael Spalding was as a Relationship Manager responsible for institutional clients and the portfolio development at Credit Suisse and Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch.

Nathalie Cerutti joined Ethos in September 2016 as senior environmental and social sustainability analyst becoming Deputy Head Environmental and Social Sustainability as of January 2017. She is in charge of environmental and social ratings of companies in which Ethos’ funds are invested or on behalf of clients. She is also in charge of engaging in dialogue with investee companies and conducting specific studies in the field of environmental and social responsibility.
From 2008 to 2016, Nathalie Cerutti held the position of Senior Sustainable and Responsible Investment Analyst at Pictet Asset Management. In this capacity, she took part in the development of environmental, social and governance risk and opportunities analysis methodologies and the integration of ESG criteria in investment fund assessment. Prior to that, she was Relationship Manager at the World Economic Forum. Nathalie Cerutti earned a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. She also holds the CIWM (Certified International Wealth Management) certification awarded by the AIWtM (Association of International Wealth Management).
Christophe Diederich joined Ethos in 2013 as an environmental and social analyst. He is in charge of environmental and social analyses and evaluations of companies in which Ethos is invested. He also takes part in the dialogue with companies on environmental and social responsibility issues as well as in specific studies in this field. Furthermore, he contributes to the analyses of shareholder meetings.
Christophe Diederich holds a Master’s degree in mass communication from the University of Zurich. Prior to joining Ethos, he worked at RepRisk as senior analyst specialized in analysing environmental, social and governance controversies of listed companies.
Sébastien Dubas joined Ethos in 2017 as corporate governance analyst. In this capacity, he analyses shareholder meetings, participates in the dialogue with companies and contributes to studies in the field of corporate governance.
Sébastien Dubas earned a Master’s degree in International Relations in 2006 from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. Before joining Ethos, he has been working for five years as a journalist as part of the economic and financial section of the newspaper Le Temps. He has also worked for three years in the middle office of a hedge fund.
Fanny Ebener joined Ethos in 2009 as a corporate governance analyst becoming a senior in 2011. Fanny Ebener is in charge of various relationships with Swiss listed companies on corporate governance matters. Fanny Ebener’s specific tasks are to analyse the agenda of shareholder meetings, to engage in dialogue with companies and to participate in corporate governance studies.
Fanny Ebener earned a Master’s degree in Business Economics from the University of Geneva in 2009. Her Master thesis focused on the executive remuneration of listed companies and their link with shareholders’ interests.
Olivier Gros joined Ethos in 2013 as Senior Client Relationship Manager responsible for Western Switzerland. In this capacity, he is in charge of relations with French-speaking members and clients. Olivier Gros earned a Master’s degree in economics and finance from the University of Geneva. He also holds a Swiss Federal and European diploma as financial analyst and asset manager (CFPI).
Olivier Gros has an in-depth expertise in institutional fund management as well as in relationship management with private and institutional clients. From 1997 to 2012, he held several positions at the private bank Pictet & Cie, particularly in the asset management, wealth management and private banking units. Prior to joining Pictet & Cie, he had been working at UBS and was research assistant at the HEC department of the University of Geneva for three years.
Urs Holliger joined Ethos in 2006. Urs Holliger participates in the representation of Ethos in Zurich where he is in charge of client relations and the development of key accounts in German-speaking Switzerland.
Urs Holliger has earned diplomas in banking and a Matura Type C. In addition, Urs Holliger holds a diploma in Staff Training and Personnel Development from the Institute of Applied Psychology in Zurich. Urs Holliger also holds a diploma in Management Training from the University of Zurich.
From 1990 to 1997 Urs Holliger held several positions as Project Manager for Professional and Management Training at several major banks, including the UBS. From 1997 to 2006 Urs Holliger was a member of the executive management team of the Swisscanto Investment Foundation. His main responsibilities at Swisscanto included sales, marketing and communication concerning socially responsible investments for institutional and private investors of the Swiss pension system. In 2008 and 2009, Urs Holliger chaired the town council of Brugg (AG).
Matthias Narr joined Ethos as a Senior Engagement Specialist in March 2017. His activities include conducting a constructive dialogue with companies to enhance corporate governance as well as environmental and social responsibility. Matthias Narr participates in the environmental and social assessment of companies in which customers or the Ethos investment funds are invested.
Until February 2017 Matthias worked as an Engagement Specialist in Robeco’s Governance and Active Ownership department. His engagement activities focused on environmental issues such as climate strategies and environmental management in the energy, utilities, real estate and mining industries.
Until February 2014 Matthias was a manager in RobecoSAM’s Sustainability Services. Previously, Matthias worked for UBS and the Swiss Ministry of Defense.
Matthias studied Political Science, Economic History and International Law at the University of Zurich and the University of Paris X and holds a Master’s degree in Political Science.
Romain Perruchoud joined Ethos in January 2014 as corporate governance analyst. In this capacity, he analyses shareholder meetings, participates in the dialogue with companies and contributes to studies in the field of corporate governance.
Romain Perruchoud holds a Master’s degree in International and European Law as well as a Master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Geneva. Before joining Ethos, he has been working for four years as Senior Consultant Corporate Tax at Ernst & Young.
Elke Peyronne joined Ethos in 2013. As Project Manager she assists the CEO in all tasks related to the Ethos Foundation Board and the Board of Directors of Ethos Services. She also provides support to the director in the field of external communications. Furthermore, she is in charge of editing Ethos’ main publications and coordinating the website.
Elke Peyronne has a Master’s degree in European relations from the Institute of European Studies from the University of Paris VIII. Prior to joining Ethos, she has been working in the communications departments of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg and several international organizations and companies in Germany, France, Switzerland and the United States.
Julien Phildius joined Ethos in June 2014 as IT applications developer. In this capacity, he participates in the development of applications and software packages as well as of Ethos’ websites. He also provides IT-support to users.
Julien Phildius holds a degree in computer engineering from the University of Applied Sciences (Ecole d’ingénieurs) in Geneva. Prior to joining Ethos, he worked for 7 years as developer and database administrator in an IT company specialized in banking software.
Christian Richoz has been Senior Investment Manager as of January 2017. In this capacity, he is in charge of control tasks related to Ethos’ different investment funds and asset management mandates. He is also responsible for the support reporting and communication of asset management products and extra-financial ratings. Christian Richoz joined Ethos in February 2014 as corporate governance analyst becoming a Senior Analyst Corporate Governance in 2015.
Christian Richoz holds a Master’s degree in Management from the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) at the University of Lausanne. Before joining Ethos, he gained his extensive professional experience of six years in the fields of index construction and corporate governance at the « Corporate Events » department of MSCI in Geneva.
Valérie Roethlisberger joined Ethos in 2011 as a corporate governance analyst. Since 2014, she has been a Senior Analyst and responsible for the contacts with various Swiss listed companies in the field of corporate governance. Her specific tasks are to analyse the agenda of shareholder meetings, to engage the dialogue with companies and to contribute to corporate governance studies.
Valérie Roethlisberger holds a Master’s degree in Accounting, Control and Finance from the University of Lausanne. Her Master thesis focused on the valuation of companies in connection with the limitation of shareholders’ voting rights.
Daisy Schrai joined Ethos in 2014 as Executive Assistant. As such, she is in charge of organizing and running the Ethos secretariat. She also assists management in its administrative and accounting tasks. Furthermore, Daisy Schrai is in charge of running the secretariat of the association Ethos Académie.
She gained her extensive professional experience in the field of administrative and accounting support through various positions she held at financial institutions, real estate agents and Ethos (1999 to 2005).
