Yola Biedermann, Head of Corporate Governance and Sustainability, Member of the Executive Board

Yola Biedermann (1958) joined Ethos in 1999 and has been member of the Executive Board of Ethos Services since 2011. Yola Biedermann leads the team of corporate governance and sustainability analysts. She supervises Ethos’ voting and engagement activities with regard to corporate governance and sustainability, as well as various studies on corporate governance topics and is also in charge of regularly updating Ethos’ Proxy voting guidelines.

From 1981 to 1989, Yola Biedermann was research assistant at the department of Economics of the University of Geneva, where she earned a Ph.D. in Economics in 1987. Her Ph.D. thesis focused on the impact of non official economic activities on the economy.

Prior to joining Ethos, Yola Biedermann worked for several years as an economist with the Geneva Cantonal Hospital Planning Service. She later taught Economics at the American Graduate School of Business in Vevey and at the Geneva School of Business Administration (Haute Ecole de Gestion). Yola Biedermann was also a member of the Board of Directors of a regional Raiffeisen bank during 6 years.
